Welcome to Tidal Wellness! I grew up in rural, small town Pennsylvania where Dr. Sasser and I practiced full spectrum family medicine including obstetrics prior to returning to Wilmington to open Tidal Wellness. Dr. Sasser and I met while in residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. I received an undergraduate degree from Penn State University. We Are! I completed my medical education at Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine which is affiliated with Virginia Tech. Go Hokies!
Spending time with family is at the core of my beliefs: traveling, athletic events, mission trips and enjoying the outdoors are typical ways we achieve that family time. Our mission at Tidal Wellness is to create a comprehensive wellness center; our family caring for your family through the ebbs and flows of life. To enhance our comprehensive services, I am currently completing a fellowship program through MMI/A4M affiliated with George Washington University in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine. I then plan to complete a master's degree in Functional Medicine with the eventual goal to become board certified in Integrative Medicine. I am currently board certified both by the American Board of Family Medicine and by the American Osteopathic Association.
I loved being the small town family doctor in rural Pennsylvania. In the the same day we may deliver a baby, go to clinic, visit a nursing home, and help out at local high school sporting event. I believe a close relationship between physician and patient should be at the core of our healthcare system. Yet it seems to be lacking or trivialized in so many healthcare environments. We strive to reclaim these relationships and put patients back at the center of the health care system while providing full spectrum, individualized care for you at Tidal Wellness.
