I have been practicing full-time since August of 2000. My focus is on treating the whole person, not just a label that describes their condition. I specialize in treating pain, headaches, insomnia, nausea, and digestive disorders. I have also helped hundreds quit smoking and performed hundreds of labor inductions. Oriental Medicine is my passion and my life's purpose.
Beyond my clinical work, I am very active in continuing education, both as a teacher and as a seminar host. I have hosted over 30 continuing education events, many with luminaries such as Alex Tiberi, Dr Richard Tan, Dr Jake Fratkin, Honora Lee Wolfe, and Dr John Chen. I was fortunate to have filmed many of these events and have preserved their teachings as online video courses.
I am credentialed by the National Acupuncture Board (NCCAOM) and California State Acupuncture Board as a post graduate continuing education instructor. I have taught Smoking Cessation techniques and lectured on a wide range of Chinese Herbal Medicines. In 2018, I will present a series of lectures on insomnia, PTSD, headaches, tinnitus, and seasonal allergies.
I've also been active on the administrative side of my profession. I served on the North Carolina Acupuncture Licensing Board from 2009 - 2015. I spent four of those years as the Chair of the Rules Committee and one as Board Chair.
Outside of Oriental Medicine, my interests include classic cinema, quantum computing, martial arts, and comedy.
